"The World is Our Oyster, but the Ocean is Our Pearl."

Northeast Maritime Institute and a group of leading experts in the maritime and ocean related fields created the Center for Ocean Policy and Economics (COPE°) to tackle “wicked problems” that challenge both people and planet. A culmination of years of research and conversations with leaders in related fields, COPE° is a facilitator for cogent maritime and ocean policy and economic development project initiatives linking academic, non-governmental, governmental, and corporate partners to create impactful solutions.
